Like most Millennials, I am tech savvy and social. There are few things I enjoy more than waking up, hopping on my phone, and scrolling through the latest tech news and trends. Digital companies change their algorithms constantly, new features are added to popular services often, and crowds develop trending topics overnight. Staying up to date is not always easy, but it’s always necessary.

I’d say my interest in technology started my sophomore year of high school, despite my extreme dislike of my typing class as a freshman. Since then, I’ve spent countless hours reading technology news, trying beta platforms, and engaging with peers on social media. I have been staying up to date with digital trends for over a decade, and it’s probably safe to say that I’m familiar with most current digital platforms because I find them to be very intriguing.

I like to identify myself as a sports enthusiast, philanthropist, and social media guru. Throughout my life I’ve competed competitively in several different sports; I’ve planned, organized, and managed multiple philanthropy events; and I currently manage the social media for a university’s athletic department, my sorority, and a camp for people with disabilities.

Social media has completely transformed the way that communication is made between producers and consumers. Trending hashtags, strategic scheduling of posts, and connecting to current events and news entirely determine whether a post will get minimal attention or goes viral immediately. The world we live in is fast-paced and favors convenience. I work to provide great content to the correct people at the right time.

Growing up as a member of Generation Z, I have used digital media in every personal and professional situation imaginable. I have used social media for most of my life and I understand the power it has to build memorable brands, especially when grouped with other thoughtful communication efforts. At the same time, I have seen many brands miss the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with their customers because of their ineffective, sometimes nonexistent, use of digital marketing.

My interest in marketing and communications grew when I realized the impact cohesive campaigns can have. This awareness grew even more through my work with multiple national nonprofit organizations. Whether you are raising brand awareness, selling a product, or promoting a service, the power of digital marketing can improve your reach and help you meet your business goals. With this in mind, I spend countless hours staying up to date with the latest marketing and communications trends to ensure I can help companies thrive.
